Better

Better

I am slowly taking steps to take better care of myself.

I got back on the treadmill today, after having a dream about running last night. It was great. I did a total of 2.25 miles in 30 minutes, which included three quarter-mile jogs. I felt fantastic, even when sweating and panting my brains out. And my blood pressure is nice and average, even right after the workout. Sweet.

I have not been dressing in a flattering way lately. This is due to my everlasting weight-loss plateau and the ensuing plummet of my self-esteem. Today, I am wearing my skinny-leg pants and a fitted sweater. I have scheduled a haircut for Sunday, and will be getting a pedicure with my girlfriends in the near future.

I am back on the diet plan. It is a plateau-breaker week, so my food choices are severely limited, but I am seeing results. I am just two pounds off my previous low, and anticipate continuing drops.

So overall, things are better. Baby steps, people.
