Slow

Slow

I can say it now because the shift is over. What a slow day.

Sometimes, it’s harder to have a slow day at work than a busy day. You end up sitting around, doing research, reading, catching up on paperwork or continuing education, surfing the internet.

And when you get up from your chair, your extremely painful thighs (see yesterday’s entry) scream with a thousand voices of protest. The day goes by slowly.

And like clockwork, it gets busy around 5:30pm, so you’re running around when you’d rather be getting ready to go home.

I guess I shouldn’t complain. It wasn’t a clusterpuck, and we weren’t understaffed for a change. We had a great doctor, and I got to work with a great group of people.

But I feel just as tired as if I worked my butt off all day. Yeesh.
